There are plenty of people who start to notice your moves online once you are making some noise. It may be a well written post or a good looking app you developed.

Some of them are genuine connections. But those are very few.

Majority of so called FB friends they are just scammers looking to rob you of your money, knowledge, ideas.

They pretend by starting a friendly conversation. Sometimes they even flirt with you. But the end point is your money. They will have all kind of devious ways to try and get it. They will pretend to be Bitcoin investors. Solar energy investors. Coaches. Lovers. Don’t trust anyone but your self.

It doesn’t mean you can’t be scammed offline. Offline is as dangerous as online. It’s just the scope of people trying to scam you online is wider.

Almost every second friend request I get on FB is a scammer of some sorts. Boy will pretend to be girls and girls will pretend to be boys. Hackers will pretend to be acting in your interests when in fact once they get access to your money, it’s gone.

Be careful whom you choose to trust. Do a background check. Do a research. Think twice before you approve a friend or approve a new contact. Sharing with them your network is putting your real friends in danger. Be very careful, mind your online steps and keep using logic for your own safety, that is the strongest weapon you got. The really rich people are online ones the real ones. They don’t need to hide in the shadows. The scammers are usually minnows lacking any kind of respect, honor, or imagination, so they resort to stealing.
